Node Requirements

Updates to validator requirements

As the Rizenet blockchain evolves, the validator requirements may change. This page contains the current validator requirements.

Hardware:
- Minimum 8 GiB RAM, recommended 16 GiB RAM
- Minimum 80 GiB SATA SSD, recommended 100 GiB NVMe SSD
- Minimum 4 vCPUs, recommended 8 vCPUs - Equivalent of E2 GCS or AWS
- Long Term Support Stable Linux distribution, recommended ubuntu server 22.04 LTS or 24.04 LTS.
Network:
- Static Public IP
- Ingress ports to open:
  - Peer-to-Peer communication between the nodes, default 9651
  - RPC communication with the internet (optional), default 9650

Operational:
- Must be running a Rizenet Testnet validator node
- Must use a hardware wallet Ledger Nano S / Nano S Plus / Nano X

- Minimum 500 GiB SATA SSD, recommended 1 TB NVMe SSD
- Minimum 8 vCPUs, recommended 16 vCPUs - Equivalent of E2 GCS or AWS vCPUs.
- Long Term Support Stable Linux distribution, recommended ubuntu server 22.04 LTS or 24.04 LTS.
Network:
